A double-row spherical roller insert takes thrust in both directions as well as heavy radial load, and it tolerates the shaft misalignment that a long conveyor frame always has once it is loaded — that combination is why S-2000 take-ups end up on aggregate, grain, mining and bulk-handling conveyors rather than ball take-ups. At 20,800 lbf dynamic on a 1-11/16 in shaft, the shaft and the frame are usually the limiting elements, not the bearing. Setscrew locking is fine on a clean, unhardened shaft; on a heavily reversing drive an adapter-sleeve or clamp-collar arrangement holds better. Fitting notes
