A double-row spherical roller bearing, 100 mm bore × 180 mm outside diameter × 46 mm width, main dimensions to DIN 635-2, with a tapered bore of 1:12 taper. Two rows of symmetrical barrel rollers run in one concave spherical raceway in the outer ring, so the inner ring and roller set swivel within the outer ring. The result is a self-aligning bearing with very high radial capacity that also takes thrust in both axial directions.

The polyamide cage is light, has low inertia and generates little friction against the rollers, which lowers running temperature and lets the bearing accelerate hard. Its temperature ceiling is the trade: a glass-fibre reinforced polyamide cage is rated for continuous service to about 120 °C, well below the 200 °C the steel rings themselves tolerate, and it is sensitive to aged oil at elevated temperature. Where the position runs hotter than that, the machined brass and pressed steel cage variants of the same bearing take over.
The lubrication groove and three holes turn the outer ring into a distribution gallery, so lubricant fed through a housing port reaches the roller path of both rows directly. The 1:12 tapered bore makes the radial clearance a mounting adjustment rather than a tolerance outcome: drive-up distance up the taper expands the inner ring and sets the residual clearance.

The 1:12 bore seats either directly on a tapered shaft journal, retained by a locknut, or on an H320 adapter sleeve on a plain cylindrical shaft; the H320 bore takes a 90 mm shaft seat, one bore-code step below the bearing bore. Residual radial internal clearance is measured across the roller rows with a feeler gauge and set by drive-up distance. Both rings abut square shoulders inside the da and Da limits above. The housing lubrication port aligns with the outer ring groove, which runs the full circumference, so outer ring orientation is unconstrained.
