A FAG 2210 double–row self–aligning ball bearing, 50 mm bore x 90 mm outside diameter x 23 mm wide, straight cylindrical bore, open, with a glass–fibre reinforced polyamide cage and C3 clearance. Two rows of balls run in two deep grooves in the inner ring and on one common sphered raceway in the outer ring. Because that outer raceway is a section of a sphere, the inner ring and ball set can tilt inside the outer ring, so the bearing simply does not care if the shaft deflects or the two housings are not in line. Sold as 1 Pc.
22 — the wide self–aligning ball series. The 12xx series is the narrow equivalent on the same bore and outside diameter.

TV — solid cage in glass–fibre reinforced polyamide. FAG writes the current version of this bearing as 2210–TVH.
C3 — radial internal clearance greater than normal.
No K suffix, so the bore is straight and cylindrical rather than tapered.
A self–aligning ball bearing is the bearing you reach for when the shaft is long, flexible, or supported by housings bolted to something that moves — conveyor idlers, agricultural drives, fan shafts, textile machinery. Nothing else forgives misalignment as cheaply. The trade–off is axial capacity: this is not a bearing to load hard in thrust, and it is not a bearing to use as a precise location. Use it where one bearing locates the shaft and this one simply carries radial load and absorbs the angle.
Note that the static rating is much lower than the dynamic rating on this family. That is correct and published, not a typo: the sphered outer raceway gives a smaller contact area than a deep–groove raceway, so the bearing tolerates a lot of running load but comparatively little standing shock load. Plan for that if the machine sits loaded or gets hammered when stopped.
C3 clearance suits a position that runs warm or takes a tight interference fit. Thermal growth of the inner ring consumes the extra cold clearance, so the bearing lands on proper running clearance at temperature. Fit C3 where normal clearance was designed in and it will run noisier and let the shaft float; fit normal clearance where C3 was specified and it can preload itself as it warms.
The polyamide cage is quiet and light but is rated for roughly 120 °C continuous. Above that, a pressed steel or brass–cage build of the same bearing is the right choice.

One bearing per order — 1 Pc. A complete non–separable bearing ships: outer ring, both ball rows, cage and inner ring. Because the bore is cylindrical, no adapter sleeve or lock nut is needed and none is included.
Press only on the ring taking the interference fit, and never through the balls or the polyamide cage. If you heat the inner ring to mount it, keep the bearing below about 120 °C or you will damage the cage. The outer ring is deliberately free to tilt, so do not try to clamp it square or shim it into line — that defeats the whole point of the bearing. Leave the self–aligning function free to work.
The 50 x 90 x 23 self–aligning ball envelope is standard, so SKF 2210 ETN9/C3, NSK 2210ETNC3, NTN 2210C3, Koyo 2210C3 and NKE 2210–TV–C3 all fit the same seat. FAG’s own current number for this bearing is 2210–TVH, with C3 added for the clearance. Match the clearance class — this is C3, so a normal–clearance 2210 is a related size on the same envelope rather than a like–for–like replacement — and match the bore type: the 2210K is the tapered–bore version of this bearing, which needs an H310 adapter sleeve and is not interchangeable with a straight–bore part. The 1210 is the narrow–series bearing on the same bore and outside diameter, so it is a related size, not an equivalent.
