RHP 3P/7205 single-row angular contact ball bearing. Bore 25 mm, outside diameter 52 mm, width 15 mm. ISO 72 series size 7205, straight bore, open. RHP is a British maker, now part of NSK.
3P is the RHP precision prefix. 7205 places the bearing in the ISO 72 dimension series at a 25 mm bore. In the RHP scheme a 7200-series designation carrying no contact-angle letter is the 40° execution; a C would indicate 15° and an E 25°.
A 40° contact angle is the highest in the standard angular contact range, so this bearing carries the most thrust and gives the highest axial stiffness of the 7205 family, with a correspondingly lower speed limit and lower radial capacity than a 15° or 25° bearing of the same envelope. A single row takes thrust in one direction only, which is why 40° bearings are commonly mounted in opposed pairs.
Two single bearings. The designation carries no arrangement or preload suffix, so these are ordinary singles rather than a ground matched set, and each can be used on its own or paired back-to-back or face-to-face with a spacer to suit the mounting.
Straight cylindrical bore, normal internal clearance. Open on both faces.
SKF 7205 BE and FAG 7205-B are the same size at the same 40° contact angle in the current SKF and Schaeffler designations. NSK 7205B is the direct NSK equivalent, RHP having become part of NSK. 7205 C and 7205 E share the envelope at 15° and 25°, so they are related sizes rather than interchanges.
