A Timken 41286B single flanged tapered roller bearing cup — the outer race of a TSF (tapered single with flange) inch-series tapered roller bearing. Cup only. The matching cone is the Timken 41125.
41286 is the 41000-series cup number, and the trailing B marks the flanged execution. The raceway outside diameter of 2.8593 in and the cup width of 0.6875 in are shared with the unflanged 41286; the B adds an integral 3.0741 in flange, 0.2187 in thick, at the cup backface. Both executions accept the same cones.
The flange seats against the housing face, so a through-bored housing locates the cup axially without a machined shoulder or a retaining ring, and the flange face provides a square reference for aligning a seal. Cup outside diameter is held to +0.001 in / 0 and cup width to +0.002 in / –0.010 in at Class 2 tolerance.
Cup frontface backing diameter is 2.80 in (71.10 mm) and the cup backface to-clear fillet radius is 0.06 in (1.5 mm).
