Mount tapered bore bearings on plain shafts
A tapered bore bearing cannot sit on a straight shaft without a sleeve, and the wrong sleeve means the bearing never seats properly. Listed parts include H-series adapter sleeves such as the FAG H3036 for a 160 mm shaft with M180x3 threads, withdrawal sleeves up to 240 mm ID, and inch-shaft adapters around 5-15/16 in. Match the sleeve to both the shaft diameter and the bearing series, then account for the lock nut and lock washer that clamp it. Sleeves often deform during removal, so ordering a fresh one alongside the bearing is standard practice. The matching bearing lock nuts are listed separately.
