Small part, expensive consequence: once a lock nut backs off, the bearing loses its axial clamp and the shaft starts walking. Listings include large metric HM and HML series nuts from 275 mm to 380 mm bore and Fafnir FPN-series nuts for smaller shafts. Identify by thread nominal diameter and pitch rather than by the bearing bore alone, and note how many slots or set screw holes the original carried so the locking device still engages.
