The display and operator interface module from a Fanuc Series 160i-M control, carrying the build number 16IM-MCU24533-001R00. It is the operator station assembly at the front of the machine: the part the operator looks at and presses. It is a fascia-level assembly, not a rack card, and not the CNC itself — the control unit, axis boards and servo amplifiers all live elsewhere in the cabinet.
16IM — the control family this module belongs to: Fanuc Series 16 / 160i, M for the machining-centre (milling) versionMCU24533 — the machine-builder assembly number for the operator module as built into that control001 — assembly variantR00 — revision level of the assembly
Type: display / operator interface modulePlatform: Fanuc Series 160i-M (Series 16i / 160i generation, machining centre control)Assembly marking: 16IM-MCU24533-001R00Format: panel-mount operator station module
Operator modules of this generation are built to the machine builder’s specification, which is why the marking on the unit is a builder assembly number rather than a plain Fanuc A02B order code. That makes the exact number the thing to match: cut-out size, connector positions and key mapping all follow the assembly, and a 160i module from a different builder or revision may physically fit and still not agree with the machine’s PMC. Compare the number on the module you are replacing, note the revision, and check the connector layout against the photographs before ordering.
Sold as one module, as pictured.
No CNC control unit, control boards, axis cards or memory. No separate MDI keyboard unit unless visible in the photographs. No cables, harnesses, video or signal leads, no connector kits. No inverter, backlight lamp or spare display parts. No mounting frame, escutcheon, gasket or hardware beyond what is shown. No battery, no software, no parameters, no documentation.
Power the cabinet down and discharge before disconnecting. Photograph the harness routing and connector positions first. Handle the module by its frame, not by the display face, and keep it flat — fascia assemblies of this age flex more than they look like they should. After fitting, check the display and every key against the CNC diagnostic screens before returning the machine to production.
16IM-MCU24533-001R00, 16IM MCU24533 001R00 and MCU24533-001 refer to the same assembly. Other MCU-numbered operator modules from the Series 16i / 160i generation are related builds with different layouts and revisions — treat them as related, not as drop-in equivalents. Fanuc operator hardware is proprietary and there is no cross-brand substitute.
