A Parker Series 2H heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder, 3-1/4 in bore with a 2 in stroke, built as a double-rod unit — a piston rod emerges from both ends, so the cylinder can drive two things at once, or drive one thing while carrying a switch actuator, stop or feedback device on the opposite rod. Series 2H is Parker’s NFPA tie-rod industrial line, rated to 3000 psi, with a jewel-style rod gland and square heads pulled up on four tie rods.
Parker cylinder codes read bore first, build in the middle, stroke last: 03.25 – KJTC2HLTS13A19A – 2.000

The standard rod diameter Parker publishes for a 3-1/4 in bore Series 2H is 1-3/8 in.
A short stroke on a large bore is a force job, not a motion job. At 3000 psi a 3.25 in bore develops roughly 24,900 lbf on the full piston face; with only 2 in of travel this is the sort of cylinder used for clamping, pressing, gate and knife actuation rather than for moving something a long way.
Double rod changes the force balance. Both sides of the piston lose the same rod area, so extend and retract forces are equal — the reason double-rod cylinders are chosen for balanced shuttle motions. It also means you need clearance behind the cylinder for the second rod to travel.
Trunnion mounting takes the load in shear on a centreline pivot and lets the cylinder swing. Trunnions are not designed for stroke-end shock through the pins, so a trunnion cylinder wants its pin bores in good order — a point worth checking on any used unit.
Being a tie-rod construction, this is rebuildable: seals, gland and rod are serviceable items, and Parker publishes seal kits by bore and series.

One cylinder, used take-out. No mounting pins, brackets, seal kit, switches or fittings are included.
Check the rod surfaces on both ends for scoring before commissioning and plan on a seal kit if the unit has been in storage — rod seals take a set. Align the trunnion pivot so the rod works in pure tension and compression; side load is what wears a gland out. On a double-rod cylinder, allow the full stroke of clearance at the blind end as well as at the working end.
Series 2H shares the NFPA envelope, so mounting dimensions cross to other NFPA 3000 psi tie-rod cylinders of the same bore, stroke and mount — but bore, rod diameter, mount style and the double-rod feature all have to match before a cylinder is a genuine replacement. Parker Series 3H is the higher-pressure family in the same envelope. A single-rod cylinder of the same bore and stroke is not a substitute for this one.
