A double-row spherical roller bearing, 120 mm bore, 215 mm outside diameter, 58 mm width, with a cylindrical (straight) bore. Two rows of barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the bearing is self-aligning and carries heavy radial load together with thrust in both directions.

Self-alignment through the spherical outer raceway absorbs shaft deflection and housing misalignment, which is why this family is used in conveyor pulleys, crushers, fans, vibrating screens and gearbox output shafts. The W33 groove and holes let grease reach the roller path directly through the housing, so relubrication intervals can be met without dismantling. C3 clearance leaves extra running room for the thermal growth and press fits found on shafts running hot or on interference-fitted seats. A pressed steel cage suits general industrial speeds; machined brass executions of the same size run faster and carry shock better.

The bore goes onto a cylindrical seat, heated or pressed to the interference fit called for by the shaft tolerance, with force applied to the inner ring only. Housing lubrication ports are aligned to the W33 groove so grease enters the outer-ring holes. Radial internal clearance is measured before and after mounting to confirm the fit has taken up the intended amount.
Genuine equivalents are straight-bore 22224 W33 C3 spherical roller bearings under other schemes, such as an SKF 22224 E/C3 with W33, an FAG 22224-E1-XL-K equivalent in straight bore, an NSK 22224EAE4C3 or a Timken 22224EJW33C3. Tapered-bore 22224K executions, C4 or CN clearance variants, and cage variants such as CC or CA are related sizes rather than interchanges.
