A FAG 22215-series double-row spherical roller bearing in the 222 dimension series — 75 mm bore, 130 mm outside diameter, 31 mm wide, straight (cylindrical) bore. Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set can swivel inside the outer ring. That is what makes this bearing self-aligning: it absorbs shaft deflection and housing-to-housing misalignment without generating edge loading.
222 – ISO spherical roller bearing dimension series 222 (the wider of the two common 22-series envelopes).

Spherical roller bearings are chosen where the load is heavy and the alignment is imperfect — fans, crushers, conveyor pulleys, vibrating screens, gearbox output shafts, paper-machine rolls. The machined brass cage tolerates higher temperature, shock and acceleration than a pressed-steel cage, which is why it is the default on E-design 222-series bearings in industrial service. The W33 groove matters at specification time: it lets you relubricate through the housing without stripping the assembly, but the housing must actually have a matching lubrication port for it to do anything.

This listing is one complete bearing — inner ring, outer ring, both roller rows and the cage as one non-separable unit. No adapter sleeve, withdrawal sleeve, locknut or housing is included; the straight bore mounts directly on a shaft to an interference fit.
Mount by heating the bearing or with a hydraulic press against the inner ring face — never drive through the rollers. A straight-bore spherical roller bearing needs a correct shaft interference fit to avoid inner-ring creep; the self-aligning feature compensates for misalignment, not for a loose fit. If the housing has a relubrication port, orient the W33 holes to it.
Dimensionally interchangeable with other makers’ 22215 in the same 75 x 130 x 31 mm envelope — SKF 22215 E, NSK 22215EAE4, NTN 22215EAD1, Timken 22215EJW33, Koyo 22215RHRW33. Where the substitute carries no W33 suffix it is the same envelope but without the outer-ring lubrication groove; where it carries a K suffix it is a 1:12 tapered bore and will not mount on a plain shaft. Match cage material and internal clearance to your original if the application is hot or heavily loaded.
