This is an SKF 22209 CJ double-row spherical roller bearing with a 45 mm straight bore, 85 mm outside diameter and 23 mm width. Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run on a common spherical raceway in the outer ring, letting the shaft swivel relative to the housing and absorb misalignment while carrying load.
The 222 prefix is the double-row spherical roller family and the 09 bore code gives 45 mm. CJ specifies a pressed steel window cage. There is no K, so the bore is straight, and no clearance suffix, so radial internal clearance is normal, CN. There is no W33, so the outer ring is plain, with no lubrication groove or lubrication holes.
The double row carries very high radial load and takes axial load in both directions, while tolerating shaft-to-housing misalignment that would fail a cylindrical roller bearing. CN clearance is the general-purpose setting, appropriate where shaft and housing run at similar temperatures with standard interference fits. With a plain outer ring, lubricant reaches the rollers through the bearing faces rather than through a housing port, which suits a grease-packed or oil-bath arrangement over one designed for scheduled relubrication in service.

The straight bore is normally an interference fit and the bearing is mounted by even heating rather than by pressing force through the outer ring. The outer ring seat is machined so the bearing can align without being pinched in the housing.
Same-spec equivalents are FAG 22209-E1-XL, NSK 22209EAE4 and Timken 22209EJ, all 45 x 85 x 23 mm straight bore with a plain outer ring. The 22209 CJ/W33 adds a lubrication groove and three holes, and the 22209 CCK carries a 1:12 tapered bore; both are related sizes rather than substitutions.
