An SKF 21314 CKJ/C5 double-row spherical roller bearing, 70 mm tapered bore, 150 mm outside diameter, 35 mm width, open on both faces. Two rows of asymmetric barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller assembly swivels within the outer ring and takes up shaft and housing misalignment without edge-loading the raceways. The bore is a 1:12 taper for adapter-sleeve mounting.
The leading 213 is the ISO dimension series and the trailing 14 is the bore code, giving 70 mm. K is the 1:12 tapered bore, J is the pressed-steel cage execution marker, and C5 is radial internal clearance two classes looser than normal. SKF catalogue form is 21314 CKJ/C5; the unspaced 21314CKJC5 and the hyphenated 21314-CKJ-C5 are the same bearing.
C5 is the loosest of the standard clearance classes, above C4 and well above normal CN. It is specified where the mounting itself consumes an unusually large share of the built-in clearance: a heavy interference fit, an adapter sleeve drawn far up its taper, or a duty where the inner ring runs much hotter than the housing and expands into the rollers. The looser start leaves a working clearance under those conditions. The 213 series is the low-section spherical roller family, a shallower cross-section than the 223xx series at the same bore, carrying less radial load in exchange for the smaller housing envelope. A double-row spherical roller bearing takes radial load together with thrust in both axial directions.
The 1:12 tapered bore mounts on an SKF H314 adapter sleeve, a separate item and not included. The sleeve presents a straight 60 mm shaft seat, below the 70 mm bearing bore, and is drawn up with a KM14 locknut and an MB14 lockwasher, neither of which is included. Drive-up on the taper closes part of the C5 clearance, and the amount of drive-up sets the mounted figure.

The sleeve is positioned on the shaft and the bearing driven up the taper while radial internal clearance is measured with a feeler gauge between the unloaded top roller and the outer raceway before and after drive-up. On a taper-bore spherical roller bearing the mounted clearance, not the shaft interference, is the controlling figure, and a C5 bearing is driven up further than a CN one to reach the same mounted value.
21314 CKJ/C5, 21314CKJC5 and 21314-CKJ-C5 are the same designation written three ways. 21314 CK in normal clearance and 21314 CK/C3 are related sizes rather than interchanges, since the clearance class is the specified variable. The straight-bore 21314 J is a related part too: it mounts directly on the shaft with no sleeve. Same-envelope taper-bore equivalents in other schemes are FAG 21314-E1-K and NSK 21314EAKE4, both 70 x 150 x 35 mm, with cage execution and clearance set independently by each maker.
