Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run on a common spherical raceway in the outer ring, so the inner ring and roller set swivel relative to the outer. That accommodates shaft misalignment and housing deflection while carrying very heavy radial load and axial load in both directions.
The W33 groove and three radial holes feed lubricant directly to the roller set through the outer ring, which is what makes a relubricatable or oil-fed housing arrangement practical on a bearing this size.
