| Compatible With Replaces | Direct replacement for Dodge P2B-SXRH-107. Four-bolt flange equivalents in the SXR line carry F4B prefixes. Quoted under Dodge, Baldor, ABB and Dodge Industrial branding. |
| Additional Attributes | Base to bore centre height 2.125 in. Mounting holes 2. NOMENCLATURE: P2B = Pillow Block 2-Bolt; SXR = Dodge's current-generation eccentric-collar mounted ball bearing line; 107 = bore in sixteenths above the whole inch (1-7/16 in). The 'H' in SXRH has NO published Dodge gloss - within the family SXR is standard and SXRB is low backing height, so H reads as the taller or heavier variant, but that is an inference and is not presented as decoded fact. ECCENTRIC COLLAR MECHANISM AND ITS TRAP: the collar's eccentric counterbore engages a matching eccentric register on the insert's extended inner ring; slip it on, quarter turn IN THE DIRECTION OF SHAFT ROTATION so the eccentrics cam and grip, then lock the collar setscrew. Turned against rotation, normal running progressively loosens it - the most common eccentric-collar failure. Advantages over setscrews: no dimples in the shaft so the shaft stays reusable, concentric grip, dependable under load reversal. WHY THE TRIPLE-LIP SEAL MATTERS: three contact lips in series backed by a rotating flinger that throws liquid and debris clear before it reaches the lips - aimed at washdown and dusty duty. In wet or dirty service a single-lip seal admits water, the grease emulsifies, and the bearing fails from contamination long before fatigue. PROVENANCE: dimensions and seal specification from distributor records, not a Dodge-hosted table. NOT PUBLISHED: load ratings, weight. |

A two-bolt pillow block ball bearing unit for a 1-7/16 in shaft, from Dodge’s SXR mounted ball bearing line. Cast iron housing, eccentric collar locking, DualGuard triple-lip contact seals with flingers, and relubricatable through a grease fitting.
The previous listing called this a flange mount bearing with a 3 in bore. Both are wrong.
P2B means Pillow Block, 2-Bolt. It is Dodge’s most recognisable prefix and it is unambiguous — this unit bolts to a horizontal base, not to a vertical face. That is the error class that produces automatic returns, because a buyer who needs a flange gets something that cannot mount where they intended.
The bore is 1-7/16 in, which is what the trailing 107 encodes. The 3 in figure in the old description appears to have been carried across from a different Dodge listing.
P2B — Pillow Block, 2-BoltSXR — Dodge’s current-generation eccentric-collar mounted ball bearing lineH — a variant within the SXR family. Dodge publishes no explicit gloss for the H, so it is not decoded here rather than guessed at. Within the family, SXR is the standard and SXRB is the low-backing-height version, so H reads as the taller or heavier variant, but that is an inference and is labelled as one107 — bore, in sixteenths above the whole inch: 1-7/16 in (36.525 mm)
The number 126411 travels with this listing. Dodge’s published catalogue number 126416 corresponds to P2B-SXRH-107-E, where the E denotes the expansion or float version, and 126411 could not be tied to a published P2B-SXRH-107 record.
That matters because expansion and non-expansion units are not interchangeable. A non-expansion bearing locates the shaft axially; an expansion unit lets the shaft grow through it. On a shaft with two or more bearings, exactly one should locate and the rest should float — get that wrong and thermal growth loads the bearings against each other until one fails. If your position is specifically the locating or the floating one, ask and we will read the markings off the housing before shipping.
The eccentric collar locks by camming rather than by biting into the shaft. The collar’s eccentric counterbore engages a matching eccentric register on the insert’s extended inner ring; you slip it on, give it a quarter turn in the direction of shaft rotation, and the eccentrics grip. A setscrew in the collar then holds that position.
The advantages are real: no dimples punched into the shaft, so the shaft stays reusable across repeated bearing changes; a concentric grip that does not shift the inner ring off-centre the way an unevenly tightened setscrew pair can; and dependable holding under load reversal. The one catch is that it is direction-dependent — turned against shaft rotation, normal running will progressively loosen it. That is the most common eccentric-collar failure and it is entirely avoidable.

Dynamic and static load ratings and weight are not published for the -107 size of this reference and are deliberately omitted rather than borrowed from an adjacent bore size. The dimensions above come from distributor records rather than a Dodge-hosted table.
The DualGuard arrangement is a genuine specification rather than marketing. Three contact lips in series, backed by a rotating flinger that throws liquid and debris off before it reaches the lips, is aimed squarely at washdown and dusty environments — food processing, aggregate handling, agriculture, outdoor conveyors. A single-lip seal in that duty admits water, the grease emulsifies, and the bearing fails from contamination long before it fails from fatigue. If your application is clean and dry the triple lip is more seal than you need; if it is wet or dirty it is the reason to choose this unit over a cheaper one.

Obsolescence trail: Dodge passed from Rockwell to Baldor to ABB and is now Dodge Industrial under RBC Bearings, so all four names appear against these part numbers.
Central Surplus also stocks SealMaster, Link-Belt and Timken Fafnir mounted units in nearby bore sizes. Three of these Dodge units are on hand, so a two- or three-bearing shaft can be fitted from one batch.
