Cast iron units with locking hardware included
Housing, insert, and locking hardware in one piece, ready to bolt to a base or bracket, is what makes a pillow block the quickest fix for a supported shaft. Stock includes two-bolt cast iron ball bearing blocks in inch bores from about 2-1/16 in to 3 in with setscrew locking and relube fittings, plus Dodge SC-series units such as the P2B-SCM-207. Start from shaft diameter, then check base bolt hole spacing and center height, since those two numbers decide whether the block lands on existing holes and keeps the shaft at the same elevation. Larger split castings without an insert are listed as bearing housings.
