RHP 7209X1TADUEP7 super-precision angular contact ball bearing, 45 mm bore, 85 mm outside diameter, 19 mm width per bearing. The inner and outer raceways are offset so the ball contact line runs at an angle across the bearing, which is what lets an angular contact bearing carry thrust in one direction alongside its radial load.
The carton carries two designations, 7209-X1-T-DUL-P4 and 7209-X1-TA-DU-EP7, and they cross-confirm each other. 7209 is the ISO 72 series with a bore code of 09, giving the 45 mm bore. No contact angle letter appears — there is no C and no E — so the contact angle is 40 degrees in the RHP scheme. T denotes a fabric-base laminate phenolic cage. DU marks universal grinding for duplex mounting and the L in DUL specifies light preload. EP7 and P4 are the same precision grade written in the two RHP schemes: ABEC 7.
A 40° contact angle is the high-thrust end of the angular contact range. It carries substantially more axial load than a 15° or 25° bearing of the same envelope, and it gives up speed capability in exchange, because the steeper contact line raises ball spin and heat generation. Light preload is the setting used where running accuracy and stiffness matter but the duty does not justify the extra heat of a medium or heavy preload. The phenolic cage is light and runs well against marginal lubrication, which is why it appears on machine tool spindle and precision drive positions.
This bearing is preload-set rather than clearance-set. A preloaded bearing has its internal geometry fixed by the axial force applied through the matched faces, so radial internal clearance is not a parameter for it and no clearance class applies.
One bearing, 19 mm wide. Universal grinding means the faces are ground so that bearings from the series can be mounted together in back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem arrangements, with the light preload established when a pair is clamped up.
The 45 × 85 × 19 mm envelope is the ISO 7209 size, shared with SKF 7209, FAG 7209 and NSK 7209. Contact angle and precision class are what separate the executions on that envelope: a 7209C at 15° and a 7209E or 7209A5 at 25° are related sizes rather than interchanges, because the angle changes the thrust capacity and the speed rating. Match the angle, the precision grade and the preload class together.
