What these specs mean in practice

Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run against a single spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring, rollers and cages swivel bodily inside the outer ring. That absorbs static misalignment from housings bored out of line and dynamic misalignment from a shaft that bows under load, without loading the roller ends.

The tapered bore sets the interference fit and the running clearance in one operation as the inner ring is driven up its seat, so the bearing mounts on a plain shaft through an adapter sleeve and the clearance can be re-set at every rebuild.
