An SKF 21310-CCJ double-row spherical roller bearing in the ISO 213 dimension series. Bore 50 mm, outside diameter 110 mm, width 27 mm, straight cylindrical bore, open on both faces. The two rows of asymmetric barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring, rollers and cage assembly can swivel inside the outer ring and absorb static and dynamic shaft misalignment without loading the ring edges.
The leading 213 is the dimension series and the trailing 10 is the ISO bore code, giving 50 mm. The 213 series is the low-section spherical roller family — a shallower cross-section and a lower width-to-diameter ratio than the 222xx and 223xx series at the same bore. CC denotes the pressed-steel window-type cage with an inner-ring guide ring. The trailing J is SKF’s pressed-steel cage execution marker and reads consistently with CC; the shortened form 21310CJ appears on cartons and in distributor listings for the same bearing.
The 213 low-section series trades load capacity for envelope: at a 50 mm bore it fits a housing bore that a 22310 would not, and it carries less radial load in return. Being a double-row spherical roller bearing it takes radial load plus thrust in both axial directions, which distinguishes it from a barrel roller bearing of similar appearance. The pressed-steel window cage is the general-purpose execution, suited to normal operating temperature and normal speeds; brass-cage executions of the same size are specified where speed or acceleration is higher.
The bore is straight, so the bearing mounts directly on a cylindrical shaft seat with an interference fit and no adapter sleeve. The designation carries no clearance suffix, which is normal internal clearance, CN. It carries no W33, so there is no annular lubrication groove in the outer ring and no radial feed holes; lubricant reaches the rolling elements from the housing cavity or through the bearing faces.
1 Pc. Bearing only. No adapter sleeve, no locknut or lockwasher, no housing, no seals or covers.
Mounting is by controlled interference on the shaft seat with the outer ring located in the housing bore. Even heating of the inner ring, or a hydraulic or mechanical press acting on the inner ring face only, seats the bearing without transmitting force through the rollers. Radial internal clearance measured after mounting reflects the fit-induced reduction from the shaft interference.
21310CJ and 21310 CC are the same bearing under carton and catalogue variants of the designation. The straight-bore 21310-CCJ and the tapered-bore 21310-CCK are different parts: the K variant has a 1:12 taper bore and needs an H310 adapter sleeve. 21310-CC/W33 is a related size rather than an interchange, since the W33 outer-ring lubrication feature changes the ring geometry. 21310 in another maker’s scheme — FAG 21310-E1-K, NSK 21310EAE4, Torrington 21310 — shares the ISO boundary dimensions of 50 x 110 x 27 mm, with cage execution and clearance set independently per maker.
