RHP 7015CTSULP0 single-row angular contact ball bearing. Bore: 75 mm. Outside Diameter: 115 mm. Overall Width: 20 mm. Contact Angle: 15°. Precision Class: P0, RHP class code EP1, ISO normal class. Cage Material: laminated phenolic resin. Cage Type: machined, outer-ring guided. Closure Type: open on both faces. Rolling Elements: carbon chrome bearing steel balls. Series: RHP 70, ISO dimension series 10. Number Of Rows: 1. The ring faces are universally ground, so one piece pairs with any other bearing of the same designation in a back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem stack and reaches the light preload value when the rings are clamped solid.
Type 7: single-row angular contact ball bearing. Dimension series 0: ISO series 10. Bore code 15: 75 mm bore. Contact angle C: 15°. Cage T: laminated phenolic resin, outer ring guided. Grouping SU: single universal face control. Preload L: light. Precision grade P0: ISO normal class, British Standard EP1. The carton alternate B7015X2TULEP1 gives the same reading in the RHP B-series scheme, X2 being 15° and EP1 normal class.
Dynamic Load Rating (Cr): 48.0 kN. Static Load Rating (C0r): 45.5 kN.
The 15° contact angle favours speed over thrust. A shallow angle keeps the ball load line closer to the radial plane, limiting centrifugal and gyroscopic effects on the ball set, so a 15° bearing carries higher surface speed and greater radial load than the 25° version of the same envelope, and less axial load.
Light preload is the low-heat, high-speed end of the preload scale. Axial Preload, light grade, as a paired set: 290 N. Axial Stiffness, light grade, as a paired set: 92 N per micrometre. Preload removes internal play, raises stiffness and fixes the contact angle under load, which buys running accuracy and repeatable axial position. The cost is friction and the heat friction puts into the rings, which is why light preload suits fast, lightly loaded spindles while the medium and heavy grades go to stiffer, slower, more heavily loaded ones. The bearing is preload-set at manufacture rather than clearance-set.
Universal face control is what makes preload a property of the pair rather than of a shim stack. The inner and outer rings are the same width and the face positions are adjusted at manufacture, so clamping two bearings of this designation together produces the L preload directly, back-to-back or face-to-face, with no measurement or grinding at assembly. Mounted in tandem they share load equally.
The laminated phenolic resin cage adds low mass and holds an oil film well against the balls. Maximum Operating Temperature: 120 °C, set by the phenolic.
Unit Quantity: 1 Pc. Arrangement: single universal (SU).
A single-row angular contact ball bearing carries thrust in one direction. Axial load in the opposite direction is taken by a second bearing opposing this one, or by another element in the shaft stack.
Inner ring abutment diameter, d1 min: 82 mm. Outer ring abutment diameters: D1 max 108 mm, D2 max 110 mm. Chamfer dimensions: r min 1.1 mm, r1 min 0.6 mm. Effective Load Centre (a): 22.7 mm. Internal free volume: 27.8 cm³. PCD of lubrication jets: 89.4 mm. Mass: 0.639 kg. Ring faces are marked with the thrust direction; a back-to-back pair is assembled with the wide outer-ring lands outward.
7015C is the ISO base designation for a 15° angular contact bearing on this envelope, and the RHP carton alternate is B7015X2TULEP1. Same-envelope bearings with a different contact angle, preload grade or tolerance class — 7015A5 at 25°, the medium and heavy preload grades, and the P4, P3 and P2 super-precision classes — are related sizes rather than equivalents. A universally faced single also differs from a duplex-ground pair, since DU pieces are ground as a set and are not interchangeable piece for piece with SU stock.
