A Festo pneumatic valve terminal assembly fitted with the VAEM-L1-S-M1-25 electrical interface, the multi-pin end plate that collects every solenoid on a VTUG valve manifold onto a single 25-pin sub-D (D-sub) connector. One loom lands on the terminal and 24 V DC switching is distributed internally to each valve position. 2-242-95-0040 is the OEM assembly number this build was supplied under; the interface itself is Festo part number 573445. The interface module passes no air; the pneumatic content of this listing is the VTUG valve terminal it sits on.
VAEM: Festo electrical interface for valve terminals. L1: interface form for the VTUG valve terminal family. S: sub-D style connection. M1: multi-pin (parallel) wiring rather than fieldbus. 25: 25 pins, up to 24 solenoid outputs plus common. The M1-25 variant is catalogued by Festo as V20. 2-242-95-0040: machine-builder or OEM assembly number, sibling to 2-242-95-0020.
With multi-pin wiring each solenoid is one discrete PLC output, with no node address, no bus terminator and no gateway firmware to match. That makes it straightforward to commission and to retrofit, at the cost of a 25-way loom back to the cabinet.
Solenoid supply is 24 V DC. Nothing here accepts mains voltage.
The interface is tied to its valve terminal family. It does not convert a VTUG terminal to fieldbus and does not fit CPV or VTUB platforms.
Type: pneumatic valve terminal assembly with multi-pin electrical interface. Electrical interface: VAEM-L1-S-M1-25 (Festo 573445). Connector: 25-pin sub-D, parallel / multi-pin wiring. Valve supply voltage: 24 V DC. Platform: Festo VTUG valve terminal. OEM assembly number: 2-242-95-0040. Origin: Germany.
One assembly, new old stock. The mating 25-pin sub-D cable or loom is not included.
Pin-to-valve order follows the original build rather than a standard. Fitted valve slices and blanking plates follow the original machine’s circuit.
Festo 573445 is the bare interface. 2-242-95-0020 is the sibling OEM assembly number in this family, a related build with its own valve content. VAEM-L1-S-…-AP builds use a different connection form. A fieldbus VTUG terminal (CPX / CTEU) takes a different end plate entirely.
