Timken 33225-90067 two-row tapered roller bearing assembly, 2.2500 in bore, 4.6250 in outside diameter, Class 3 precision. The assembly comprises two 33225 cones, one 33462D double cup and one X1S-33225 cone spacer, supplied together as a matched set.
The –90067 suffix is a Timken assembly number: it identifies a complete, matched, factory-set bearing rather than a single component. 33225 is the cone number and 33462 the cup number in the 33000 imperial series. The D on 33462D marks a one-piece double cup, which carries two raceways and therefore takes two cones. X1S is the Timken prefix for a cone spacer, and the spacer width is ground to set the assembly.
A double-cup, two-cone arrangement mounts indirectly, so the two contact lines converge outside the bearing. That gives a short effective spread and high radial capacity in a compact width, and it takes thrust in both directions. Because the cone spacer is ground to match this particular cup and cone set, the internal setting is established at the factory and reproduced on assembly rather than adjusted at the shaft. The components interchange individually as 33225 cones, a 33462D double cup and an X1S-33225 spacer. A 33225/33462 single-row TS assembly uses the same cone against a plain single cup and is a related configuration rather than a substitution, since it is one row and takes thrust in one direction.
