Decoding the designation

What these specs mean in practice

Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and rollers swivel as an assembly. That gives very high radial capacity, tolerance of shaft misalignment and housing deflection, and — because there are two rows sitting at opposing angles — thrust capacity in both directions. The groove and three holes in the outer ring let grease or oil be fed straight into the centre of the bearing, between the roller rows, which is how a heavily loaded bearing gets relubricated in service without pulling the housing apart. C3 clearance leaves room for thermal growth and for clearance lost to an interference fit, so a hot or tightly fitted bearing does not run pinched. Stabilisation to 200 °C means the rings hold their dimensions in hot service instead of growing and losing clearance permanently.
