A FAG 22215HLS.C3.W33 double-row spherical roller bearing, 75 mm bore, 130 mm outside diameter, 31 mm width. Straight bore, open, steel cage, increased-capacity HL design, lubrication groove and three radial feed holes in the outer ring, C3 internal clearance.
222 identifies the double-row spherical roller bearing in the 22 dimension series and the bore code 15 gives 75 mm. HL is the FAG increased load capacity design. S is FAG’s lubrication groove with radial feed holes, a feature of the outer ring, and W33 states the same groove with three holes. C3 is radial internal clearance greater than normal. No K appears, so the bore is straight and the bearing mounts directly on the shaft.
Two rows of barrel rollers share a spherical outer raceway, so the roller set swivels within the outer ring, absorbing shaft misalignment and housing deflection while carrying very heavy radial load and thrust in both directions. The groove and holes let grease or oil enter through the housing at the centre of the roller path, which is where lubricant reaches both rows evenly and is the arrangement used in circulating-oil and central-greasing systems. C3 clearance suits hot running and heavy interference fits.

The straight bore takes an interference fit on a cylindrical shaft seat, mounted by induction or oil-bath heating. The housing lubrication port aligns with the feed holes in the outer ring, so the outer ring is oriented to the port at assembly.
SKF 22215 E/C3 and NTN 22215EAE4C3 are same-envelope C3 equivalents; the SKF and NSK W33 forms are 22215 E/C3W33 and 22215EAKE4C3. FAG 22215K is a related size with a 1:12 tapered bore for an H315 adapter sleeve.
