A Dodge 422124 replacement double-row spherical roller bearing, catalogued as 22213K, measuring 65 mm bore x 120 mm outside diameter x 31 mm wide. It has a 1:12 tapered bore, a solid brass cage, a lubrication groove and three holes through the outer ring, and C3 radial internal clearance. The bearing itself is FAG-supplied, which is why it carries FAG order codes as well as the Dodge number. Spherical roller bearings carry very high radial load plus axial load in both directions, and the spherical outer raceway lets the inner-ring assembly swivel so the bearing self-aligns to shaft deflection or housing misalignment. Sold as 1 Pc.
This is the loose bearing only. Dodge sells this number as the replacement rolling element for its mounted spherical roller units, so what ships is the bearing on its own — no pillow block, no split housing, no end caps, no seals, no adapter sleeve and no locknut. If you are rebuilding a mounted unit you keep your existing housing and fit this bearing into it.
422124 — Dodge’s own replacement-bearing part number.
222 — double-row spherical roller bearing, ISO dimension series 22.
13 — bore code; 13 x 5 = 65 mm bore.
K — tapered bore, taper 1:12.
E — increased-capacity internal design in FAG nomenclature.
AS / S — FAG’s code for a lubrication groove around the outer ring outside diameter with lubrication holes through to the raceway. It is the direct equivalent of the industry W33 code, which is why both appear.
M — solid machined brass cage, roller guided.
C3 — radial internal clearance greater than normal.
The tapered bore is the single most important thing to get right on this listing. A 1:12 taper is a mounting system, not a shaft fit. On a plain cylindrical shaft the bearing sits on an H313 adapter sleeve (or is withdrawn with an AH313 withdrawal sleeve), and the sleeve is what sets the interference: you drive the bearing up the taper until the internal clearance has been reduced by the amount the design calls for, then lock it with a KM13 locknut and MB13 lockwasher. Because the sleeve carries the shaft, the shaft seat under an H313 is 55 mm, not 65 mm. Alternatively the bearing mounts directly on a machined 1:12 tapered shaft seat with no sleeve. Either way, drive-up and residual clearance must be measured — driven too far up the taper the bearing is preloaded, runs hot and fails early.
C3 pairs with the tapered bore for a reason. Drive-up deliberately consumes internal clearance, so tapered-bore bearings are usually supplied looser than normal so there is something left to give away at mounting. Starting from C3 gives a wider usable drive-up window and sensible operating clearance once the shaft and housing are hot.
The solid brass cage is the heavy-duty option, and it is why this is the bearing Dodge specifies for mounted-unit service. Brass tolerates shock, vibration and marginal lubrication better than pressed steel and runs cooler, which matters in conveyor and screen positions where the load is anything but steady.
The lubrication groove and holes only pay off if the housing feeds them. In a Dodge mounted unit the housing grease passage is already aimed at the outer ring, so fresh grease is pushed straight into the centre of both roller rows. In a housing you are machining yourself, line the port up with the groove.

Precision: ISO normal class (ABEC 1 / P0)
Matching adapter sleeve: H313 (55 mm shaft); withdrawal sleeve AH313
Measure the unmounted radial internal clearance with a feeler gauge before you start, then drive the bearing up the taper and re-measure until the clearance reduction matches the mounting table for the fit you want. Support and drive against the inner ring only; the outer ring swivels and will cock the rollers if used to drive the assembly. Keep the axial component well below the radial load: for the 22213 envelope the axial load factor e is 0.24, and above that ratio the unloaded roller row can lose contact and skid. Grease fill is typically 30–50% of free space; overpacking a spherical roller bearing is a common cause of an early temperature rise.
The 65 x 120 x 31 mm 222-series envelope is industry-standard, and the tapered-bore version takes the same H313 sleeve across every brand. Direct equivalents for a tapered-bore, brass-cage, relubricatable 22213 with C3 clearance: FAG 22213-E1A-K-M-C3 or 22213 EASK.M.W33.C3, SKF 22213 CAK/C3W33 or 22213 EK/C3W33 with an M or MA brass cage, NSK 22213 CAMKE4C3, NTN and NTN-SNR 22213 EMKW33C3, Timken 22213 KEMW33C3, Koyo 22213RKW33C3. Steel-caged tapered-bore versions — SKF 22213 CCK/C3W33, NSK 22213 CDKE4C3, NTN 22213EAKW33C3, Timken 22213 KEJW33C3 — drop into the same seat with a different cage, which matters in a shock-loaded position. A version without the K suffix has a straight cylindrical bore and needs no sleeve.
