An IDC NJG2309VH full-complement single-row cylindrical roller bearing, 45 mm bore by 100 mm outside diameter by 36 mm width. What these specs mean in practice

A full-complement bearing carries more rollers than the caged equivalent of the same size, because the space a cage would occupy is filled with load-carrying rollers instead. That gives a substantially higher radial and static capacity in an unchanged envelope. The trade-off is speed: roller-to-roller sliding contact generates more friction and heat than a caged set, so full-complement bearings belong in slow to moderate-speed, heavily loaded positions rather than high-speed ones.

The NJ geometry decides what the bearing does in the arrangement. Its single inner-ring rib works against the outer-ring ribs to take thrust in one direction, so it can serve as the locating bearing on a shaft whose axial load acts one way, or as one half of a pair of opposed NJ bearings that locate a shaft in both directions. An NU bearing of the same envelope takes no thrust at all, and a NUP takes it both ways; each is a different location scheme.

The 23-series section is wide for its bore, which is where the extra capacity comes from and why this bearing appears in mill and vibratory duty where shock load matters more than speed.
