An RHP 7915-T-DU-EP7 angular contact ball bearing supplied as a duplex pair. Bore 75 mm, outside diameter 105 mm, width 16 mm per bearing, in the ISO 71915 envelope. Open faces, phenolic cage.
79 series, bore code 15 — 75 mm bore, ISO 71915 envelope
no angle letter — 40° contact angle in the RHP scheme
T — phenolic cage
DU — duplex, a matched pair ground to stack
L — light preload
EP7 — ABEC 7 precision in the RHP/NSK scheme
A 40° contact angle is the highest of the common angular contact angles and carries the most thrust for the envelope, trading away speed and radial stiffness against a 15° or 25° bearing. Each row takes thrust in one direction, so the duplex pair handles thrust in both. Light preload keeps running torque and heat low.
Bore: 75 mm (2.9528 in)
Outside diameter: 105 mm (4.1339 in)
Width: 16 mm (0.6299 in) per bearing
Contact angle: 40°
Precision class: EP7 (ABEC 7)
Preload: light
Rolling elements: steel balls, single row per bearing
Cage: phenolic
Closure: open both faces
2 Pcs, one matched duplex pair.
A duplex pair is ground as a set and the two bearings stay together; preload comes from the matched faces once the rings are clamped solid against square shoulders. Orientation of the pair determines whether the arrangement is back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem.
The ISO equivalent is 71915 at a 40° contact angle, light preload. The RHP B-series 7915X2 at 15° and 7915X3 at 25° share the envelope and are related sizes rather than interchanges, as are medium and heavy preload variants.
