A precision single-row angular contact ball bearing in the 7207 envelope, 35 mm bore × 72 mm outside diameter × 17 mm width, universally ground with a phenolic cage. Supplied as two pieces.
7207 — single-row angular contact ball bearing, ISO dimension series 02, 35 mm bore
No angle letter — 40° contact angle in the RHP scheme; a C would indicate 15° and an E 25°
T — phenolic (fabric-laminate) cage
U — universally ground faces, so two or more rings pair in any orientation
EP3 — RHP precision grade above normal class
A 40° contact angle is the high-thrust end of the angular contact range: it carries substantially more axial load and gives higher axial stiffness than a 15° or 25° bearing of the same size, and in exchange runs at a lower speed ceiling. Universal grinding means two rings mount back-to-back, face-to-face or in tandem and reach a repeatable preload once clamped, without shims. The phenolic cage is light and self-lubricating, which favours high speed and oil-mist lubrication and sets a lower temperature ceiling than a brass or steel cage.
Unit quantity: 2 Pcs
Arrangement: universally ground, pairs back-to-back, face-to-face or in tandem
Rows: 1 per bearing
Universally ground rings pair in any of the three orientations. Preload comes from the ground faces once the rings are clamped square, so the clamp face is loaded evenly across the ring rather than through shims.
Written also as 7207TUEP3, 7207 TU EP3 and 7207-TU-EP3. Same-envelope 7207 bearings carrying a C (15°) or E (25°) angle letter, a DU duplex grind, a brass cage or a different preload class are related sizes rather than interchanges.
