This is an MRC 7202DS single-row angular contact ball bearing with a 15 mm bore, 35 mm outside diameter and 11 mm width, open on both faces. MRC is part of the SKF group.
The 7202 base number places the bearing in the ISO 72 dimension series with a 15 mm bore, giving the 15 x 35 x 11 mm envelope.
MRC grinds its 7000-series angular contact bearings to a 29° contact angle. That figure is specific to the MRC scheme and sits between the 25° and 40° angles used by other makers, so the thrust capacity and speed behaviour of this bearing do not match a 72-series number from another brand.
Contact angle sets the split between radial and axial capability. At 29° the bearing takes considerably more thrust in its loaded direction than a 15° bearing of the same envelope, at some cost in speed capability, with radial capacity broadly similar. A single row takes thrust in one direction only, so axial location in both directions requires a second bearing opposed to it.
Single bearing, 1 Pc. Straight bore, mounting directly onto a cylindrical shaft seat.
The rings have a distinct wide face and narrow face, and the direction they are fitted determines which way the bearing takes thrust. Mounting force is applied through the ring being fitted rather than transmitted across the balls.
The genuine interchange is another MRC 7202DS. A 7202B at 40° and a 7202C at 15° share the 15 x 35 x 11 mm envelope but carry different contact angles, which makes them related sizes rather than substitutions.
