An MRC 5205CFG double-row angular contact ball bearing, 25 mm bore, 52 mm outside diameter, 20.64 mm width, which is 13/16 in. Two rows of balls run on offset raceways within a single pair of rings, so the two load lines converge and the bearing carries a radial load together with thrust in both axial directions, and resists moment loading, in one bearing position.
MRC numbered its double-row angular contact family 52xx, where 52 is the series and 05 is the bore code, giving 25 mm. The same boundary dimensions are catalogued elsewhere as ISO 3205, which is why both numbers travel with this bearing. The CFG element does not resolve to a published MRC suffix meaning and is carried here as a searchable designation rather than as a specification.
A double-row angular contact bearing does in one unit what a back-to-back pair of single-row angular contacts does in two: it takes reversing thrust and it is stiff against tilting of the shaft. Its width, 20.64 mm against the 15 mm of a single-row 7205, is where that capability comes from. Because both rows are ground into one set of rings, the internal preload relationship is fixed at manufacture rather than set by the fitter, and there are no matched faces to butt or shim.

The bearing takes thrust in both directions, so it is mounted as the locating bearing in a shaft system, with the second position left free to float axially. Press force is applied to the ring being fitted, inner ring on the shaft or outer ring into the housing, so that no load passes across the ball rows during mounting.
5205CFG, 5205 CFG and MRC 5205 are the same designation written three ways, and 3205 is the ISO number for the same 25 x 52 x 20.64 mm double-row angular contact envelope. Same-envelope equivalents in other schemes are SKF 3205 A, FAG 3205-B-TVH, NSK 3205B and Nachi 5205. A single-row 7205 is a related size and not a substitution: it is 15 mm wide, takes thrust in one direction only, and has no resistance to moment load on its own.
