A Fafnir super-precision angular contact ball bearing in the 7204 envelope, 20 mm bore × 47 mm outside diameter × 14 mm width, supplied as a factory-matched triplex set of three bearings ground for light preload.

A 15° contact angle favours speed and radial stiffness over thrust capacity; a 25° equivalent trades speed for thrust. The phenolic outer-land-riding cage runs light and quiet at high surface speeds and suits oil-mist and light-grease lubrication. P4S ground faces let the three rings stack with a repeatable, controlled internal preload once clamped.
