FAG 22224-ES-K-TVP double-row spherical roller bearing with a tapered 1:12 bore. Two rows of barrel rollers share one spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set swivel inside the outer ring.

The spherical outer raceway takes up static and dynamic misalignment between shaft and housing, and the double-row roller set carries radial load plus thrust in both directions. The E design fits larger rollers into the same envelope, so capacity is higher than an equivalent non-E 22224. A polyamide cage is lighter and quieter than machined brass and handles rapid acceleration well, with the trade-off being the 120 °C ceiling. No clearance suffix appears in the designation, so radial internal clearance is normal (CN).

The 1:12 tapered bore seats on a matching tapered shaft journal or on an H3124 adapter sleeve, whose shaft seat is 110 mm. Drive-up distance along the taper sets the residual internal clearance, so mounted clearance follows how far the ring is pressed onto the seat. The lubrication groove aligns with the housing relubrication port.
Current Schaeffler naming for the same bearing is 22224-E1-XL-K-TVPB-W33. Same-spec tapered-bore equivalents in other schemes: SKF 22224 EK/W33, NSK 22224EAKE4, Timken 22224EJKW33. Brass-cage forms (M, MB, CAM) and straight-bore 22224 forms are related sizes in the same envelope, not interchanges.
