CIMR is Yaskawa’s inverter prefix and G3 is the Varispeed 616G3 platform; U denotes the North American build, 4 the 400 V class, and 1P5 the 1.5 kW rating. Saftronics sold this platform in the United States as the G3+ Adjustable Frequency AC Drive, and the front cover on this unit carries the G3+ badge. The CIMR-G3U41P5 and the Yaskawa Varispeed 616G3 CIMR-G3A41P5 are the same 1.5 kW 400 V class drive with different market branding and firmware defaults.
Rated output: 2.0 HP at both variable and constant torque.
Output frequency: 0-400 Hz.
Short-circuit current rating: 5 kA at 460 V.
Enclosure: NEMA Type 1, indoor. Mounts on two integral top-and-bottom brackets, with three conduit knockouts in the base.
Used drive with the original moulded cover and integral keypad/display fitted. The casework shows ordinary shelf and service discolouration. Supplied as the drive only, with no motor, line reactor, braking resistor or manual. Parameters retain the settings of the previous machine.
Manufacturer status: Saftronics is no longer in the drive business and the 616G3/G3+ platform is discontinued by Yaskawa. Current Yaskawa GA500 and A1000-family 400 V 1.5 kW drives differ in terminal layout, parameter numbers and dimensions.
