A Telemotive GXZ304E7650 output module, marked E7650-55. Telemotive builds industrial radio remote control systems — the transmitter a crane operator carries and the receiver mounted on the crane, hoist or machine. This module is the output stage inside that receiver: once the receiver has decoded a valid command off the air, the output module is what actually closes a contact to the machine’s control circuit, energising a motion contactor, a brake, a hoist direction or an auxiliary function.
Earlier copy hedged that the module was “likely designed to provide efficient and precise control over output functions”. No need to guess. It is the output card of a radio remote control receiver: radio in at the receiver, switched contacts out to the machine. It is not a PLC I/O card, it does not decode the radio signal by itself, and it will not function outside a Telemotive receiver.
GXZ304 — the Telemotive module family this card belongs to. Other functions share the GXZ304 prefix with different trailing numbers — GXZ304E7123, for example, is a communication module — so the prefix identifies the family and the trailing number identifies the function.E7650 — the specific output module-55 — the board-level revision or configuration marking, as found on the card itself
Telemotive radio controls are now part of Magnetek, within Columbus McKinnon, which is where the modern equivalents and documentation for the line sit. Legacy GXZ hardware is a surplus and repair item.
Radio remote control on lifting equipment is safety-relevant, and the output stage is exactly where that shows. The output module is the last link between an operator’s thumb on a pushbutton and a contactor closing on a hoist motor, which is why these systems are built so that a lost radio link, a low battery or an internal fault drops the outputs rather than holding them. Consequences for a buyer: this is not a component to improvise around. Do not bridge outputs to prove a fault, do not defeat the mainline or E-stop contactor to get a crane moving, and do not mix modules from a different Telemotive generation into a receiver on the assumption that a matching connector means a matching design. Recommission the system and function-test every motion, including the stop and E-stop paths, before the crane goes back into service.
Function: output module for an industrial radio remote control receiverFamily: Telemotive GXZ304 module seriesBoard marking: E7650-55Output type: switched contact outputs to the machine control circuitForm factor: plug-in module for the Telemotive receiver enclosureTypical equipment: overhead cranes, hoists, and mobile and process machinery under radio controlBrand lineage: Telemotive, now part of Magnetek / Columbus McKinnon
Isolate the crane or machine at the mainline disconnect and lock off before opening the receiver enclosure — the receiver’s control circuit is typically live at line-derived control voltage. Photograph the module positions and every wire and plug before removal; radio receiver enclosures are densely wired and the terminal assignments are function-specific, so a wire in the wrong place will drive the wrong motion. Match the module family and the trailing configuration marking to the one you remove. Check the outgoing module for jumper or address links and replicate them. After fitting, verify the transmitter pairs and the intended function map before energising motion, then function-test each motion, each speed step, the brake, the stop and the E-stop with the hook empty and the area clear.
One output module. Not included: the receiver enclosure, receiver logic and radio boards, transmitter or pendant, batteries and charger, antenna and antenna hardware, interconnecting wiring, terminal blocks, contactors, and system documentation.
Match the family and the full number. Other GXZ304 modules are different functions — GXZ304E7123 is a communication module, not an output module, and the two are not interchangeable despite the shared prefix. Modules from later Telemotive generations, such as the inteleSmart TR12 and TR24 receivers, are different hardware entirely and do not retrofit into GXZ-era receivers. Also written GXZ304-E7650, GXZ 304 E7650, GXZ304E7650-55, E7650-55, E765055 and listed under the Telemotive, Magnetek and Columbus McKinnon names.
