A16B is Fanuc’s prefix for main and control printed circuit boards, and A16B-1310-0380 is an operator panel interface control PCB. Its job is to sit between the machine operator panel — the pushbuttons, selector switches, feed and spindle override switches and keysheet that the operator actually touches — and the CNC control that acts on those inputs. It translates panel hardware into signals the control can read, and drives the panel’s indicators in return.

T variants are lathe controls, M variants are mill and machining centre controls, and the trailing letter is the generation within the 0-series. The part has been reported in service on machine tools configured for 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 axes, so axis count by itself is not a disqualifier.
It is not a 10-series, 11-series, 15-series or 16-series board. Those controls use a different architecture and different interface boards entirely, and no amount of physical similarity makes them interchangeable. If your machine’s nameplate says Fanuc 15 or Fanuc 16, stop here — this is the wrong part number.
This is the most important sentence on this page. Neighbouring members of the A16B-1310-xxxx family are different operator panel variants, and they are not interchangeable with each other. Fanuc part numbers in this range differ according to the machine tool builder and the specific operator panel layout that builder specified — how many switch inputs, which lamp outputs, what connector arrangement. Two boards can look identical, mount in the same rack, and still not work in each other’s machines.
So do not order by family. Do not order because a dealer says “same as” or “equivalent to.” Get the number off the board you are replacing, or off the machine’s electrical parts list, and confirm all four digits read 0380. The cost of getting this wrong is not the price of the board; it is the days of downtime spent discovering it.
On the machine side, this board terminates the wiring from the operator panel keysheet, pushbuttons and selector switches. On the control side it connects to the CNC master board or motherboard within the 0-series control. It mounts in the Fanuc 0-series control card rack or behind the operator panel, depending on the builder’s cabinet design.

The practical instruction that follows from that: match this board by exact part number against your machine’s parts list and the board you are removing. 0-series controls are still running production machine tools worldwide — lathes and machining centres that hold tolerance and earn money every shift. It is a total production stoppage caused by a subordinate board, on a control that cannot be bought new at any price. There is no expedite option and no factory to call. A known-good spare in the cabinet drawer is cheap insurance measured against a machine that sits idle while someone trawls the surplus market for an exact part-number match.
