A Fanuc CPU module: the processor card that mounts onto a main control board and does the computing work for the control. It carries Fanuc specification number A350-3300-T288, and the populated PCB in this group is numbered A20B-3300-0281 — the two numbers travel together on the same module and both appear in Fanuc and distributor listings. At roughly 4 oz it is a compact plug-on daughter module rather than a full-size rack card.
Get the tier right when you are sourcing: this is a CPU-class module. It is frequently miscatalogued as an expansion board, add-on card or option card because of its small size. A CPU module carries the processor; without it the board it mounts on cannot execute anything.
A350 — Fanuc specification / drawing number prefix for a module assembly (the number marked on the module label)3300 — the module group; the A20B-3300 and A350-3300 numbers cover Fanuc CPU and processor modules of this generationT288 — the specific module within the groupA20B-3300-0281 — the populated printed circuit board number for the same module/03 — edition suffix seen on some examples of this specification number
Type: CPU / processor moduleFanuc specification number: A350-3300-T288Associated PCB number: A20B-3300-0281Format: plug-on daughter module for a Fanuc main control boardWeight: approximately 4.0 oz
Fanuc CPU modules are generation-locked to the main board that carries them and to the control software running on it. That makes the marked numbers the whole game: check both the A350 specification number and the A20B PCB number on the module you are replacing, together with any edition suffix, and match them. A physically identical module from a neighbouring specification number is a different processor and will either fault at power-up or run incorrectly. Because a processor swap can also invalidate parameters, take a full parameter and program backup before you touch the board.
One CPU module.
Module only. No main control board, motherboard or carrier PCB. No control rack, backplane or card cage. No memory, ROM or flash modules, no memory cartridge or memory card. No battery. No cables or connector kits. No operator panel, MDI unit or display. No software, parameter file or documentation.
Observe ESD precautions and support the carrier board while seating the module — the board-to-board connectors on these modules are fine-pitch and will not tolerate being rocked into place. Confirm the module seats fully and that its standoffs or screws are refitted; a partially seated CPU module produces intermittent faults that read as software problems. Restore parameters and check the alarm history on first power-up.
A350-3300-T288, A3503300T288 and A350 3300 T288 are the same number, and this module is also listed as A20B-3300-0281 and A20B-3300-0281/04B by distributors. Other numbers in the A20B-3300 group — A20B-3300-0254, -0293, -0651 and similar — are different CPU modules with different processors and memory, so treat them as related but not interchangeable. Fanuc CPU modules have no cross-brand equivalent.
