What these specs mean in practice

Operating Pressure: 1 to 16 bar. That upper limit is what separates an ISO 15552 tie-rod cylinder from a compact one, and it is why the tie-rod construction stays in service on high-pressure clamping and pressing duties.

Cushioning: adjustable at both ends by cushion screw, over a 19 mm cushion length. Turning the screw meters the trapped exhaust, so the deceleration can be tuned to the actual load rather than fixed at the factory.

Theoretical Force at 6 bar: 482 N outstroke against 414 N instroke, the difference being the 12 mm rod area taken out of the annulus.

Piston Rod Material: chrome plated stainless steel, which is the corrosion and scoring resistance that keeps the rod seal alive in a washdown or damp environment.
