SKF 22224 CCK/C403W33 double-row spherical roller bearing with a tapered 1:12 bore. Two rows of barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set swivel inside the outer ring.

The spherical outer raceway takes up static and dynamic misalignment between shaft and housing, and the double-row roller set carries radial load plus thrust in both directions. A pressed-steel window cage is lighter than machined brass and keeps the rollers guided by the inner-ring flange, which suits steady industrial speeds and moderate temperature. The C403 suffix marks a clearance built to an SKF special specification rather than to a standard CN, C3 or C4 range.

The 1:12 tapered bore seats on a matching tapered shaft journal or on an H3124 adapter sleeve, whose shaft seat is 110 mm. Drive-up distance along the taper sets the residual internal clearance, so mounted clearance follows how far the ring is pressed onto the seat. The W33 groove aligns with the housing lubrication port.
