RIV 22224 K M C3 W33 double-row spherical roller bearing with a tapered 1:12 bore. Two rows of barrel rollers run on a common spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set can swivel inside the outer ring.

The spherical outer raceway absorbs static and dynamic misalignment between shaft and housing, which is why this type is standard on long conveyor shafts, fans and crusher drives. A double-row spherical roller takes radial load and thrust in both directions. C3 clearance leaves extra running room for interference-fit mounting and for a shaft that runs hotter than its housing. A machined brass cage tolerates higher temperature and shock loading than a pressed-steel cage and permits higher speed than a full-complement design.

The 1:12 tapered bore seats either on a matching tapered shaft journal or on an H3124 adapter sleeve, whose shaft seat is 110 mm. Drive-up distance on the taper sets the residual clearance, so the mounted clearance is a function of how far the ring is pressed on rather than of the bore fit alone. The W33 groove aligns with the housing lubrication port.
