An RHP double-row spherical roller bearing, 55 mm bore x 100 mm outside diameter x 25 mm wide, in the ISO 222 dimension series. Two rows of barrel rollers share one spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring and roller set swivel bodily inside the outer ring. That self-aligning action absorbs shaft deflection and housing misalignment that would wreck a cylindrical roller or deep groove ball bearing of the same size, while carrying very heavy radial load and thrust in both directions.

HL — RHP’s high-capacity design code, with a pressed steel cage. It signals a heavier-duty internal geometry than the plain base design in the same envelope.
W33 — annular lubrication groove around the outer ring plus three lubrication holes through it.
C3 — radial internal clearance greater than Normal.
There is no K in the designation, so the bore is straight and cylindrical.
The straight bore is the first thing to check against your machine. This bearing mounts directly onto a plain 55 mm shaft seat — it is not a sleeve-mount bearing, and it will not fit an H311 adapter sleeve. If your existing bearing came off a sleeve, you need the 22211K tapered-bore version instead, not this one.
C3 clearance runs looser than Normal when cold, so working clearance still remains once the inner ring has grown from a tight shaft interference fit and from operating heat. Fit C3 where shaft interference is heavy or the housing runs warm. Substituting Normal clearance into a C3 duty lets the bearing preload itself, run hot and fail early; conversely, fitting C3 where the machine relies on tight clearance for shaft location costs running accuracy and adds noise. Clearance is a fit decision rather than a quality grade, and it fails in both directions when mismatched.
The outer-ring groove and three holes let grease or oil be fed straight into the roller rows through the housing rather than relying on lubricant migrating in from the ends. Relubrication is the single biggest factor in spherical roller bearing life, so on anything greased in service this feature matters — it does need a housing with a lubrication port lined up on the groove.
NSK, which has owned RHP since 1990, publishes the following for the RHP 22211EJW33 high-capacity bearing in this envelope:

Worth noting when cross-shopping cages in this family: RHP publishes identical load ratings for the pressed-steel-cage EJW33 and the machined-brass EMW33. On RHP spherical rollers the cage choice therefore buys you temperature and shock tolerance rather than capacity, which is not true of every brand — NTN, for instance, rates its brass-caged 222-series bearings slightly lower than the steel-caged ones.
Sold as 1 Pc. One complete bearing: inner ring with both roller rows and cage, plus the outer ring. Spherical roller bearings ship as a non-separable assembly, so there is no cup, cone or separate ring to source. Because the bore is straight, no adapter sleeve, locknut or lockwasher is needed or included.
Mount on the inner ring, never through the rollers. Heat the bearing to about 80 – 100 °C above the shaft in an induction heater or a clean oil bath rather than pressing it on cold, because a bearing this size takes a genuine interference fit. Seat the outer ring squarely in the housing bore and let it take up its own alignment before the assembly is drawn down — clamping the outer ring off-neutral during build throws away the self-aligning capability that is the whole reason for choosing a spherical roller bearing. Align the housing lubrication port with the outer-ring groove and purge the groove with grease before the first run.
RHP’s bearing business was bought by NSK in 1990 and traded as NSK-RHP before reverting to plain NSK in 2000, so the modern route to this part is through NSK: 22211EAE4C3 is the closest current equivalent, where E4 is NSK’s code for the outer-ring groove and holes. Other dimensionally equivalent straight-bore 22211 bearings include SKF 22211 E, FAG 22211-E1-XL, NTN 22211EAW33, NTN-SNR 22211EAW33, Timken 22211EJW33 and Link-Belt 22211LB — specify C3 to match. The 22211MB designation also carried on this listing is the same 55 x 100 x 25 mm envelope with a machined brass, inner-ring-guided cage instead of a pressed steel one: dimensionally interchangeable and a genuine search term, but a different cage specification rather than an identical part. Read the lubrication codes as one feature under different letters — W33 on RHP, SKF, Timken and Link-Belt, E4 on NSK, S on FAG, D1 on NTN Japan, B33 on legacy SNR — and remember that SKF W on its own means the groove and holes are absent. Any 22211K is the tapered-bore version and needs an H311 adapter sleeve on a 50 mm shaft, making it a related size rather than a substitute.
