A FAG 22205ESK.TVPB double-row spherical roller bearing — 25 mm tapered bore, 52 mm outside diameter, 18 mm width. Two rows of barrel-shaped rollers run in a common spherical outer raceway, so the bearing carries very heavy radial load, takes thrust in both directions, and accommodates angular misalignment between shaft and housing. The bore is tapered 1:12 for adapter sleeve mounting, and the outer ring carries a lubrication groove with three feed holes.

A double-row spherical roller bearing is the choice where load is high and alignment cannot be guaranteed — conveyor pulleys, fans, crushers, vibrating equipment. Because both rows sit on one spherical outer race, thrust is carried in both directions and misalignment is absorbed without edge loading. The tapered bore is a mounting method rather than a shaft size: driving the bearing up the sleeve taper sets the internal clearance by controlled interference, which is why the C3 starting clearance matters. The lubrication groove and three holes let grease or oil enter through the housing between the two roller rows, which is the correct feed path for a relubricated position. The polyamide cage is quiet and light with a 120 °C continuous ceiling; hotter service calls for a brass or steel cage variant.

Sold as 1 Pc, one complete bearing. Mounts on an H305 adapter sleeve, which seats on a 20 mm shaft.
The bearing is driven up the sleeve taper until the required reduction in radial internal clearance is reached, and the lock nut on the sleeve holds that position. Clearance reduction rather than torque is the setting criterion, measured with a feeler gauge between an unloaded roller and the outer race. In the housing, the lubrication groove is aligned with the grease feed port so the three holes deliver between the roller rows.
The direct equivalent is a tapered-bore, W33-featured, C3-clearance double-row spherical roller bearing in the 25 x 52 x 18 mm envelope: SKF 22205 EK/C3 with W33, NSK 22205EAKE4C3, NTN 22205EAKD1C3, Koyo 22205RHRKW33C3. The straight-bore 22205-E-S-TVPB shares the envelope but mounts directly on the shaft, so it is a different part. A 22205 with a brass cage or with normal CN clearance is likewise a related version rather than a drop-in equivalent.
