FAG 20220-MB-C3, a single-row barrel roller bearing. One row of barrel-shaped rollers runs on a spherical outer raceway, so the inner ring, roller set and cage swivel inside the outer ring. Boundary dimensions 100 mm bore × 180 mm outside diameter × 34 mm width. Cylindrical bore.
Series 202 is the FAG single-row barrel roller line in ISO dimension series 20. Bore Code: 20, giving a 100 mm bore. Cage Type: MB, machined brass, inner-ring guided. Internal Clearance: C3, radial internal clearance greater than normal.
The barrel roller carries radial load and self-aligns on its spherical outer raceway, taking shaft deflection and housing misalignment without edge loading the rollers. Load is radial only. C3 leaves running clearance for a tight shaft fit and for thermal growth of the inner ring. The machined brass cage runs at higher speed and temperature than a pressed steel cage.
