Fitting notes

The bearing mounts directly onto a cylindrical shaft seat with force applied to the ring being fitted. The housing bore should be a straight cylindrical seat; the bearing accommodates misalignment internally, so no spherical housing seat is needed. Axial location of the shaft is handled by the second bearing position or by a shoulder, because this bearing carries only light thrust. The open faces take lubricant from the housing cavity.
