MB TBC25-1-5/8 is a tapped base ball bearing pillow block from the MB 25 Series (Rexnord Bearing Products): a one-piece cast iron housing with a spherically seated, standard duty ball bearing insert for a 1-5/8 in shaft. Type: Pillow Block, Tapped Base. Bore Diameter: 1.6250 in (41.275 mm). Housing Material: Cast iron. Rolling Elements: Ball. Duty Type: Standard duty.
TBC — MB pillow block, tapped base. The unit bolts up from below into threaded holes in the housing foot.
25 — MB 25 Series insert: narrow inner ring, standard duty.
1-5/8 — shaft diameter 1-5/8 in; the leading 1 marks a shaft of 1 in or larger.
No suffix — standard single-lip contact seals.
Closure Type: Contact seals both sides (MB Type N steel-clad single-lip seals). Seal temperature range: −40°F to +225°F, 250°F intermittent. Lubricant: Grease. The spherical fit between insert and housing gives shaft alignment on installation, and a permanently fitted anti-rotation device in the insert OD stops outer race creep in the housing.
