Shaft locking is by setscrews through the extended inner ring. That is the fast, serviceable option: it drops straight onto a plain, undersized commercial shaft with no shoulder, no retaining ring and no interference fit, and it comes off again without a press. The trade-off against an eccentric or concentric collar is that setscrews can loosen and can burr the shaft under reversing or shock loading, so torque them properly and reconsider the locking style if the drive reverses.

Installation and setup notes:
The unit is relubricatable through a grease fitting in the housing, so it can be maintained in service rather than run to failure. It is a non-expansion (fixed) block, which means it locates the shaft axially. On a long shaft that grows with temperature, use this as the fixed end and put an expansion unit at the far end — two non-expansion blocks on a hot shaft will preload themselves to death.
