Bore 1-1/4 in, outside diameter 72 mm, inner ring width 42.9 mm across the extended ring, outer ring width 19 mm. The spherical outer ring seats in the matching spherical seating of an RHP cast-iron or thermoplastic housing.

Decoding the designation

1035 — RHP Self-Lube bearing group. The 1000 and 1200 blocks are the spherical-outer inserts intended for RHP housings; the 1100 and 1300 blocks are the parallel-outer versions for a purchaser’s own cylindrical bore.
1-1/4 — nominal shaft size. On this scheme the trailing group is the bore, quoted in inches on inch parts and in millimetres on metric parts.

What these specs mean in practice

The setscrew arrangement is two knurled cup-point screws set into the extended inner ring and tightened down onto the shaft. It is the simplest of the RHP locking options and covers most general drive and conveyor duty. The eccentric-collar version, 1035-1-1/4DECG, exists for the case where vibration is the governing condition, because the collar’s wedge action spreads the grip over a larger area of shaft than two point contacts do.

The spherical outside diameter is what makes this a self-aligning mounted insert. It accommodates initial misalignment between the shaft axis and the housing mounting face at assembly. The 42.9 mm extended inner ring against a 19 mm outer ring is the classic wide-inner-ring proportion: the extra inner ring length carries the setscrews and gives the shaft a long seat, while the short outer ring keeps the housing compact.

Fitting notes

The insert drops into the spherical seating of an RHP Self-Lube® cast-iron housing — NP or SL or MP pillow blocks, SF four-bolt square flanges, SFT two-bolt oval flanges, ST take-up units — or into the thermoplastic Silver-Lube® equivalents, and the two setscrews are drawn down onto the shaft once the insert is at its running position. Relubrication runs through the grease fitting in the housing. RHP steel Protectors for shaft-end guarding are catalogued for bearing group 1035.
