The INA GE40-KRR-B-AS2/V is a radial insert ball bearing with a 40 mm bore and 80 mm outside diameter, designed to drop into a housed unit rather than a plain bore. Made in Germany, new old stock.
The KRR designation covers the locking-collar insert with seals on both sides, and the AS2/V suffix denotes the relubrication provision.
Insert bearings like this have a spherical outer ring that self-aligns inside the housing, and a wide inner ring that extends past the outer ring on both sides carrying grub screws in a locking collar — so the bearing clamps directly onto a plain, undersized shaft with no shoulder, retaining ring or interference fit required. That is why they dominate agricultural machinery, conveyors and fan drives where shafts are cut to length on site rather than machined to bearing tolerances.
