RHP 7009ETSULP4 super-precision angular contact ball bearing. Bore 45 mm, outside diameter 75 mm, width 16 mm. Straight bore, open on both faces, single row of balls, machined phenolic cage riding on the outer ring land.
70 is the ISO light angular contact dimension series and 09 is the bore code, giving a 45 mm bore. E denotes a 25° contact angle in the RHP scheme. T is a fabric-base laminate phenolic cage. SU marks a single universally ground bearing and L sets light preload. P4 is ISO Class 4, equivalent to ABEC 7. The carton also carries B7009X3TAULEP7 and 3MM9109WICRDUL, whose X3 and 3MM codes independently confirm the 25° angle, whose CR code confirms the outer-land phenolic cage, and whose EP7 confirms the ABEC 7 class.
A 25° contact angle carries more thrust and less speed than a 15° bearing of the same envelope, so it is the grade chosen where a spindle takes real axial cutting load rather than pure radial load at maximum rpm. The phenolic cage is light and self-lubricating, which recovers part of the speed the steeper angle costs. Light preload removes internal play while keeping torque and heat generation low.
One piece. Universal grinding means any two units of this designation stack directly as a back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem set, with the light preload built into the ground ring faces. A single-row angular contact bearing takes thrust in one direction, so a second bearing opposes it.
Ring faces are ground flat and square for direct abutment, so preload develops when the shaft nut and housing cap are drawn fully home. The bearing carries a preservative film and takes oil mist, circulating oil or a measured grease charge.
Same 25° equivalents are the FAG B7009-E-T-P4S-UL and the SKF 7009 ACDGA/P4A. The Fafnir 3MM9109WICR is the same angle and cage under the WI numbering scheme. The 15° version of this envelope, RHP 7009C, is a related size rather than a substitution because the contact angle sets the thrust and speed balance.
