Tandem mounting puts both bearings’ contact lines in the same direction, so the pair shares one heavy thrust load between two rows instead of one. Thrust capacity roughly doubles against a single bearing while the direction stays one-way. A 15° contact angle holds speed capability up and gives high radial stiffness. The counterbored outer ring is what allows a full ball complement on one shoulder, which is where the thrust capacity comes from. ABEC 5 tightens bore, outside-diameter, width and runout tolerances over ABEC 3 and is the usual class for matched sets, because matched sets only hold their preload or end play if both rings are ground to the same tolerance.

Both bearings face the same way in a tandem stack, so the thrust faces sit against the load. Grinding is matched across the pair, which is why the two pieces stay together as one unit.
The 7126K section sits on the ISO 7026 envelope, 130 x 200 x 33 mm. Same-size 15° equivalents in other schemes: SKF 7026 AC/DT, NSK 7026CDT, FAG 7026C.DT. MRC’s own related types on the same envelope carry different contact angles and are not substitutes: 7126KU is 29° and 7126KP is 40°.
