An SKF NN 3011 K double-row cylindrical roller bearing with a 55 mm tapered bore, a 90 mm outside diameter and a 26 mm width. It is a precision spindle bearing with a machined brass cage.
NN: double-row cylindrical roller design, rollers guided by the inner ring, outer ring ribless. 3011: 30 series, 55 mm bore, 90 mm OD, 26 mm width. A: SKF internal design variant. K: 1:12 tapered bore. M: machined brass cage. P5: precision class 5, equivalent to ABEC 5. C4817: SKF special-execution code, retained as a search term.
Two rows of cylindrical rollers put a large contact length in a narrow cross-section, which gives very high radial capacity and high radial stiffness – the reason this design sits at the working end of grinding and turning spindles. The bearing is non-locating: the ribless outer ring allows the shaft to grow axially through the bearing as it warms, and axial location is provided elsewhere in the spindle by a thrust or angular contact bearing. A locating cylindrical design such as NJ or NUP behaves differently and a single-row NU has half the roller complement, so neither is a substitute.

The 1:12 tapered bore seats directly on a matching tapered spindle journal. This design does not use an adapter sleeve.
Genuine equivalents are P5 double-row tapered-bore cylindrical roller bearings in the same 55x90x26 mm envelope with a machined cage: FAG NN3011-AS-K-M-SP, NSK NN3011TBKRE44CC1P4, Nachi NN3011K and URB NN3011K. The straight-bore NN 3011 is a related size rather than an interchange, because it requires a cylindrical shaft seat and offers no clearance adjustment.
